Jean Bochnowski was named Executive Director of Northwestern Stables in July 2021. Jean has 35 years of experience in non-profit management with mission-driven institutions focused on youth development, animal care, and environmental conservation. As Executive Vice President of Zoo New England in Boston, she helped turnaround the Franklin Park and Stone Zoos after years of decline. During a 17-year career with the National Audubon Society, she was instrumental in the development, construction and management of the Discovery Center in Fairmount Park and the Audubon Center in Montgomery County. Jean has a Bachelor degree in Communications and Education from Boston University and a Masters in Administration from Wilmington College. She and her wife have three children, two rescue dogs, a turtle and frog.
